Katherine was born and raised in Southern California. Her real estate career began in Newport Beach and continued along the coast of Maine before settling in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She has represented a range of properties, from waterfront homes and grand estates to unique residences, equestrian properties and bed and breakfasts. Katherine has always gravitated toward waterfront communities and properties, lending her unique understanding of specific rules and regulations to serve her clients well. Her notable sales include Seaward, the largest cottage on Maine’s Mac Mahan Island; a grand, turn-of-the-century 7,000 square foot summer escape designed by renowned American architect Ernest Flagg; the Grey Haven’s Inn, one of the finest surviving coastal hotels built in 1904 and listed in the National Registry of Historical Places located in Georgetown; the historical Aliquippa Hotel, a coastal retreat and “who’s who” destination in its time for visitors arriving on steamers built in 1836 in Small Point; and Terrace Gables, one of the largest waterfront parcels in Maine and an enchanting 45-acre slice of heaven in Edgecomb with rich historical significance. Locally, Katherine represented the sale of the “container house” on Port Townsend’s North Beach waterfront, which has been featured in many local artist paintings, and an architectural gem at the water’s edge in Port Ludlow.
Having worked with Sotheby’s International Realty in Maine, Katherine knew that a move to the Pacific Northwest necessitated a continuation with the brand. She aligned with Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty because they mirror her commitment to professionalism and service. As local leaders in global real estate, RSIR provides Katherine and her clients with award-winning marketing and connections to top-tier agents that span not just around the corner, but around the world. She has always been drawn to international destinations, falling so in love with Bali that she seriously considered raising her children there.
Additionally, Katherine’s career endeavors include acting; she has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild since 1996 and studied the legendary Sanford Meisner technique at Playhouse West and Improv with the Groundlings Comedy troupe, working in television, commercials, and voice over. She has been a personal fitness instructor teaching spin classes, Tae Bo, and yoga, Pilates and also owned her own Pilates Studio in Calabasas, CA.
Katherine is the proud mother of two grown children and is a new grandmother. When not in the office, she loves walking her dog on the beach, hiking, gardening, cooking, travel, music and the arts, and volunteering. She is deeply connected to her community, supporting local business, various charities, causes and the arts.
